Malvern Theatres Planning Application

Painswick Road, Cheltenham

Planning has been submitted for a dwelling, to replace a 1970’s single story house currently on site.

The proposal, whilst closely following the existing form, uses a subtle palette of brick and glass void, in a simple series of volumes defining the space within.

Low House, Apperley

Construction has begun on this unique modern dwelling in a rural setting near to Tewkesbury.

The austere single story elevation that faces the approach conceals a light filled contemporary two storey construction that utilises the existing fall of the site to maximise the living accommodation and frame views out across the site. A simple palette of earthy materials provides a clean minimal appearance, which combined with multiple opportunities to blend internal and external spaces provides a rich living experience.

Proposed New Dwelling, Mousehole

Planning application has recently been submitted for a contemporary dwelling in a very sensitive sea side town.

Chestnut Walk, Worcester

The client had aspirations to create a space which complemented the existing Grade II Georgian Villa whilst clearly a modern addition, in which to house an extended kitchen and shower room and suitable for their growing family.

The approach was to design an extension that lightly touches the existing dwelling. The full height sliding doors blur the boundary between inside and outside providing the client with improved access to the external amenity space that surrounds the property.

New Commission – Bromyard Housing

Proposals for a new residential scheme in Bromyard, have been submitted to Herefordshire Council. The scheme is to replace a group of industrial buildings along Rowberry Street. The design responds to the unique character of the street, which is dominated by coach houses, workshops and alleyways. Our scheme, incorporating 7 new dwellings within a mixed group of buildings, with a focus on providing high quality street fronting facades that provide privacy and amenity to its occupants.

Wenbans, Cheltenham

Weatherark have now completed this new house on the Battledown estate in Cheltenham. Arranged over 4 floors, accommodating 7 bedrooms, cinema room and diverse living spaces. The house also benefits from terrific views over the town as well as long distance, elevated views towards the Malvern Hills.

The collaboration between design + construction has worked incredibly well with many bespoke features being realised in a clear, simple + cost effective way.

New Group Office for Thomas Dudley

Last Friday saw the completion of the new Customer Care and Group Office for Thomas Dudley.

The building, designed as a focal point and entrance building to the site, will accommodate all office + training functions as well as a customer showcase zone for display, presentation + testing of all the Thomas Dudley Products.

Thomas Dudley has been manufacturing in the UK since the company’s inception in the 1920’s, and remains one of the UK’s leading foundries + plastic mouldings specialists.

This new investment to the head office site in Dudley confirms the commitment to engineering within the Black Country.

The scheme follows an Invited Ideas Competition. Concepts were sought to extend and adapt the current Green Cow Kitchens Fine Dining experience, set within the spectacular Whitbourne Estate in Herefordshire.

A Vision of Future Transport in Worcester

We were delighted to collaborate with Green Party Councillors Louis Stephen and Mike Sumpnor, in the production of a document that proposes solutions to Worcester’s congestion problems.

The ideas involve readdressing the current highway network to implement simple, affordable and effective changes that are sustainable and focused on making Worcester a healthier and more accessible city.

The proposals are now in a consultation and engagement process.

Agricultural Building – Case studies

We have been working on and developing ideas for several Prior Notification Consent projects focusing on agricultural buildings. Typically based around an existing portal frame structure, the schemes have potential to produce unusual, generous spaces in a cost effective way. We have a 100% success rate at gaining planning approval with this type of project.

Magazine feature

We’re pleased to see Redhill featured alongside other prestigious projects in Architecture Today’s supplement magazine Inhabit.

Our design for the first retail concept store for Gtech is scheduled to open to the public at the end of July 2016.  As well as the display and sale of the entire product range, the store will also offer the opportunity for customers to test and try out products. This includes a purpose built cycle track where the ebike can be put through its paces.

This follows the completion of their new customer service centre and company headquarters on the same site in Worcester. In addition Glazzards have also worked closely with GTECH to design and deliver a state of the art research and development centre currently under construction.
