HOLLOWAYS

Glazzard Architects worked alongside the family-run business Holloways to design a new showroom extension for the independent retailer, created to showcase a large collection of contemporary living and dining furniture.

The building reflects the quality and craftsmanship that have established Holloways as a leader in contemporary country home and garden living. The architecture adopts a simple and refined approach, expressed through a steel-framed structure that references an agricultural vernacular while maintaining a clean and contemporary character.

Internally, a mezzanine level is set back from the building perimeter, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the showroom across both floors. This arrangement also creates a viewing gallery overlooking the double-height entrance space, reinforcing the sense of openness and providing clear visual connections throughout the building.
