Courtyard Extension: Like many Victorian houses, the original internal arrangement was defined by a series of cellular rooms that limited visual connection and flexibility for contemporary family living.

The design solution addressed this by infilling the existing courtyard with a zinc-clad extension that links the kitchen and dining room to a new living space. This intervention created a more open and connected sequence of rooms, improving both circulation and the relationship between the principal living areas.

A new entrance porch forms a smaller secondary element to the scheme. Also clad in zinc, the porch steps down towards the street, providing a subtle transition between the public realm and the domestic interior while complementing the architectural language of the extension.
